MATERNAL MORNINGS

To be honest, being pregnant has not been the weirdest thing I have ever experienced.

I still go to pilates, work more than 8 hours a day, sleep late and wake up late – see, it’s not a new thing!- eat almost two times bigger portions than my husband does – can you believe? But it’s TRUE, believe me! and I just feel OK! One day I feel wonderful and the next day I feel exhausted but we all do, right?

And I truly like the idea of being pregnant.

When it comes to baby bump, which started to show up around 20 weeks, I feel a little bit weird but happy at the same time. I was literally growing a tiny person inside me and can’t tell you how much I loved it. That little baby bump.

In the first 6 months of the pregnancy, I -obviously – changed my eating habits and some beauty rituals. I started avoiding some products that I have to give-up and later on, I added some must-have products and belive it or not it was not a glass of milk. The first item I added to our daily regime was Lierac Phytolastil Gel. I know, that sounds weird.

And I use “our” because applying stretch-mark creams was daddy’s duty. What about that?

All of my friends – I have only ONE friend with a baby in the house, and my personal trainer – she just gave birth to her twins so she was my mentor as you can imagine, told me that if your mother got stretch-marks, you probably will too. Also rapid pregnancy weight gain can also make you more likely to get stretch marks. ( And lighter-skinned women are more likely to get stretch marks or stretch-marks are more visible on light skin.)

Anyway, weather your genes are programmed to stretch or not, they won’t stay so vividly hued forever. After delivery, they usually fade. But meanwhile, there are couple of things you can do to avoid or slow down the stretch.

Moisturize your skin everyday with organic coconut oil – that’s the most natural way to give yourself a pregnancy glow and your skin what it needs.

Drink lots of water. It’s good for everybody – you and your little one and also your skin.

Watch your weight gain and be sure you are right on track. Try to put your pounds on slow and steady, nobody – you, your skin and you little one, needs that extra 60 pounds.

And the last but not least, take care of your belly. As it grows gradually, you will have some time to search and find some products that you might want to try.

My two friends, whom I mentioned above, suggested me to use Lierac Phytolastil Gel everyday, and maybe 2 times a day during the third trimester. So that’s how we started to use Lierac and when a friend from the team called me to introduce me this must-have gel of all times, I was one proud mama (to-be) with one proud daddy-to-be who knew it all.

When it comes to everything, you can’t know everything right?

So we will enjoy this maternal mornings as we know..
